Jill Levy, President, The Council of School Supervisors & Administrators on The Connected Principal

The Connected Principal provides school leaders with a “big picture” view of educational technology as it relates to their administrative, supervisory, and instructional responsibilities. School leaders acquire technology skills associated with both school management and instruction. Skills addressed are aligned with national technology standards for school leaders and include:

  • Modeling the routine, intentional, and effective use of technology
  • Accessing and using data in making leadership decisions
  • Using technology for communication and collaboration among colleagues, staff, parents, students, and the larger community
  • Identifying appropriate technologies to enhance and support instruction for high-level achievement

The Connected Principal is delivered in two ways – face-to-face and live-online – in order to provide individuals with a balanced experience.

In the fall of 2006, The Connected Principal will feature a course on the Principals' Performance Review in collaboration with the Executive Leadership Institute at The Council of School Supervisors & Administrators.
